Why do we shake wet clothes before spreading them on a line? (PHYSICS) please answer *NO SPAMMING!!*

This will as a result, increase the rate of evaporation of water from the wet clothes and hence forth they will get dried off quickly. Moreover, shaking the clothes before hanging also helps in minimising the wrinkles on them. ... Thus a lot less amount of water is left on the clothes which makes them dry relatively faster.
