Because once we are finished coding and completed the software that does not mean that we are finished with the project. For large project maintaining software can keep many people busy for a long time.

We spent so much time and effort for maintaining existing programs because already we are completed coding and concluded the program which does not signify which we are completed to the program.So more highest program which required to make to watch for more time.When we are not maintaining them would more to which is not fix bugs and security issues occurs.When we resolve buggy software and make no effort to fix it.
