Hi mate

We sprinkle water on the roof or open ground in hot summers. This water requires latent heat of vaporisation to change from liquid state to vapor state. It evaporates or vaporises by taking the large amount of latent heat from the roof or ground and surrounding air.

Hope this helps you

during hot summer day, people often sprinkle water on roofs, roads etc because we know that evaporation causes cooling. and sprinkling of water will gain energy

(also known as latent heat of vaporization) from the surface and surroundings during state change (evaporation) and will leave the surrounding cool. that's why

people sprinkle water during summers to keep a cool surrounding.

you know how hot it's during summer xD so in order to live a comfortable and cool life, it's necessary to sprinkle water XD (don't take seriously)
