Silver chloride on exposure to light may decompose ( photolysis decomposition reaction).
Following chemical reaction takes place in this process :-
◆◆ 2AgCl ➡ 2Ag + Cl2
Therefore, it is stored in dark coloured bottles to prevent this reaction taking place.
