why do we store grains/seeds in moisture free containers ?

The 'harvested seeds' should be 'stored' in airtight containers so that they can be protected from the moisture. EXPLANATION: Moisture will result in the contraction of fungi, micro organisms and etc. Before sowing the 'seeds', it should be dry and fresh.
