Silver chloride is stored in dark coloured bottles because it reacts with sunlight and decomposes to form silver and chlorine gas. So to prevent this it is stored in dark coloured bottles. the type of reaction is photolytic decomposition reaction.

Silver chloride is a photo sensitive chemical I.e it starts decomposing when it comes in contact with light.

Therefore to prevent these decomposition silver chloride is stored in dark coloured bottles because dark coloured bottles do not absorb light.

As a result light don't pass through bottle and chemical is prevented from decomposition.

hence, silver chloride is stored in dark coloured bottles.
