why do we take holiday on Sunday??? why not on another day

it's not a must to have a Sunday as a holiday...
it's the first day of a week..

we rest and energise ourselves for the upcoming...

Because one of the freedom fighter asked the British government to give holiday on Sunday in factories. But for a change it was become holiday for everything. It is follows till today
