Indian women have been lucky in the sense that whatever be the social discrimination the constitution never intentionally told us that we are inferior. The beauty of Indian constitution is that despite some flaws it does not discriminate people on the basis of their gender, caste, religion etc. Women are few in Parliament because there weren't enough women active outside their homes. Politics is still a taboo( Arvind Kejriwal is changing it ).

Some segments of the society still consider women speaking in public places, interacting with several unknown men as a taboo. Indian politics is still muscle power based. Goons would not in general, listen to women.

I don't want 33% reservation to come because I don't support any kind of reservation. It prevents a person and community from pushing its limits.
