average are used for comparison. Its limitation is that it does not tell us about the income distribution among people.

Average income is the total income of the population divided by total population. It is also known as per capita income (PCI).

HDI means human development index.PCI means per capita income.

issue of sustainability is imp for development. becoz
resources remain available only if we conserve, preserve and use them in a judicious way otherwise there would be no resources left for human consumption and our future may be in danger. So sustainable development is a way in which
we can use the resources in a judicious way an d even save it for the future as our future is linked to our past and present.
