As we know that pie is an irrational number. And we use pie=22/7or 3.14 because in fractions we must know the value to simplify.

Invention of pi(22/7 or 3.14)

Archimedes invented the value the pie= 22/7

And Aryabhatt in the 5th century gave pie= 3.14

Answer:

Q. What's actually pie?

A. Pie is an undifined value, which is memorised as \frac{circumference\ of\ the\ circle}{diameter\ of\ the\ circle}\\ .Its symbol is \pi.

We use pie as \frac{22}{7} because \frac{22}{7} is the ratio of circumference upon diameter and this fraction gives us a better approximate of the value of pie, though this isn't the actual value of pie b'cause pie is indetermined and irrarional (and we all know that an irrational number can never be formed in \frac{p}{q} form where q\neq0)or this will become undetermined and a myth!.

But, pie is given as 3.14 and this value is famous worldwide. There are deep roots of this number in maths and this number is too mythical as compared to other irrational numbers.

The value of pie is calculated to millions of number after decimal place but we need to memorise just few numbers.

I've a formula which you can memorise to never forget the value of this magical number which I learnt when I was in 4th.

The sentence is-

May, I have a large container of coffee.

If you count the number of words, you'll get this, 3.1415926.

Take comma as a decimal and count the number of alphabets in each word.

So, this is all about pie (by my side).
