why do we use translucent glass for making window panes of bathroom

translucent glass is used for bathroom windows as bathroom is a place where we need privacy. outsiders should not be able to see us do our job inside. so a translucent window does not provide proper sight of what is happening inside. on the other hand, light partly passes through the glass providing the room with sufficient lighting in the day.
