Mountains and oceans both provide important services that keep the world livable. While the ice stored at the peaks of the world's mountains play a critical role in regulating the global climate, ocean life produces a third of the oxygen that we breathe, which is also critical in moderating global climatic changes.

I - the importance of mountains in India :-
a) the mountains act as a barrier and protect the country from the cold dry winds coming from North Asia.
b) the mountains of struck the moisture bearing winds because of which our country gets rainfall.
c) mountain regions have forest areas which provide very economical valuable items.
II- the importance of oceans in India
a) the oceans are the habitat to many exotic species of India and the Marine world.
b) the ocean water evaporates forming clouds resulting in rainfall.
c) during the hot days cool winds blow from the oceans resulting in the cooling of the areas near oceans.
