we wear clothes to protect ourselves from the harsh climatic conditions of the atmosphere of the earth. if we do not wear clothes then we will feel more cold in the winter season and even a person may die due to extrame cold.

I can think of two reasons...
1. Humans are not covered with fur like other apes, so some kind of protection is needed against the coldness, hotness and changing environment because humans are warm blooded.
2. Humans are the most sexually active beings and hence to cover the genitals and live comfortably in this fast paced world is important.
