Why do we write Ns as a unit for Linear momentum and not Kg m/s?

Formula of linear momentum = Ns
That is,= 1Newton * 1 second
we know that 1N = 1Kg m/s^2 { F=ma}
=> Kg m/s^2 * s (therefore one s remains in denomenator )
its derived, by the way we use Ns because its more convenient. but still its not wrong to use Kg m/s
