Weeds need to be removed from the fields where farmers grow crops because weeds compete with the plants for sunlight, water, nutrients and space. Due to this the crops may not grow in a healthy manner and this decreases the yield of the crop. Some weeds are even poisonous to humans and interfere in harvesting.
