Why do weird people think they're not weird?

Do you mean do we all know we don't conform to the Hollywood Brad Pit and Angeline model of normal? Yes we all know that. And those who think they do conform or want to or try to conform judge everyone else as weird.

I know a weird person and she thinks she is the coolest person on the block. She is not weird to herself just to others who have different values than she does. She thinks THEY are weird.

I’m weird in that I have had completely different experiences than most and often have a different outlook. I know that. But again I too think I'm not the weird one.

Technically no one is weird. If you walk in their shoes you will see they like anyone else logically become what they are using the same laws of logic you became what you are.

And technically everyone is weird. It is just that you probably have a picture in your head of what normal is and judge everyone by that standard. In that case, I bet even you don't live up to it. Deep down you probably have an insecurity and think you don't measure up to the cool guy you interacted with that you just felt awkward around because you weren't as articulate or as relaxed or as flexible as. Yet he had completely different life experiences than you and made different choices than you.

So we are all weird and all not weird and we all know it and don't know it. And some of us really don't care one way or the other.

So, I'd say just don't judge.

Answer:

You should ensure that you and your team should always be out of comfort zone. You should be on a mission to deliver something out of the box. In the end, you should remember that you are different from others. So embrace your uniqueness and tell everyone that you are not weird, you are just special, a limited edition.
