Because rate of evaporation increases with temperature also on a dry day the amount of water vapour in the air is very less hence the clothes dry faster

komy12: this is because the rate of evaporation changes with the increase in wind speed.
hunarpreet4: thankw
akshayaauprit: Is it right now
hunarpreet4: yes
komy12: actually the right answer is what i wrote . this happens because of the wind speed
akshayaauprit: No how do you know that wind speed is high
komy12: i learnt
komy12: its wriiten text book i have answered the aame question in my exam and i got marks for this
akshayaauprit: It's ok hope your concept is cleared now

Answer:

In the case of a sunny day, water absorbs light from the sun as heat because some molecules will be moving faster they will have sufficient energy to break free of the surface tension holding them to the clothes and end up in the air as watervapour reducing the temperature of the remaining as the humidity in the enviroment is less as compared to in yhe cloudy days
