Because rate of evaporation increases with temperature also on a dry day the amount of water vapour in the air is very less hence the clothes dry faster

In the case of a sunny day, water absorbs light from the sun as heat because some molecules will be moving faster they will have sufficient energy to break free of the surface tension holding them to the clothes and end up in the air as watervapour reducing the temperature of the remaining as the humidity in the enviroment is less as compared to in yhe cloudy days
