why do wool yeilding animals have thick coat of hair on their body

They have a thick coat of hair so as to prevent them from their harsh environment. As these animals are usually found in hilly areas the hair protects them from the outside child and gone them heat.

Wool yielding animals are found in hilly and the colder regions. they have thick coat of hair on their body to protect themselves against the cold climatic condition. They do so by trapping the heat in their coat which helps in keeping them warm .
