wool are thick so it has more space inside where water can be present.
synthetics are thin so it's difficult for water to find a space. that's why they contain less water and dries fast.

"The woolen clothes take longer to dry than clothes made from synthetic materials because of the difference in the pore size of the fibers.

Usually, woollen clothes are used during the winter season as the "climate" remains very cold. Woollen clothes provide comfort from the cold. The "wool is obtained" from animals with more fur such as goat, sheep, etc.

The wool contains protein with lipids. The woollen clothes take a "longer time" to dry because the woollen clothes absorb more water due to the presence of huge amount of fibers."
