Why do you fall in the forward direction when a moving bus brakes stop and fall backward when it's accelerates from rest ?

Due to inertia, we want to continue our motion along the direction of motion of bus. When it is moving forward we are also moving forward but when brakes are applied we continue our motion in forward direction because of inertia. Same is the case when it accelerates from rest.
