here is your answer-
Explanation:
If you are comfortable with roller skating, it’s easier to get around the floor for a beginning ice skater.
The skill sets are similar, so it’s easier to pick up ice skating. Easier, not totally easy. The surfaces have a different “feel”, and going from one to another requires some adjusting. Without knowing more, it’s harder to say. You don’t say if you’re roller skating on inline skates or if you have a coach for roller skating.
Bad habits on roller skates translate to bad habits on ice. Poor weight distribution and poor body posture on roller skates means poor weight distribution and poor body posture on ice as well. With some knowledge, you’ll be able to tell who’s had a coach and who is self-taught, on roller and ice, even for very good session skaters.
That’s also true for good habits. Good posture baseline is the same for roller and ice. Knowing what’s supposed to happen on a jump or spin makes it easier to execute on ice. Again, easier, not easy. When our (roller) skating club went ice skating, the skaters were able to do simple jumps and spins even though most had only ice skated a handful of times.
