We get cramps in muscle it is due to the fact that During heavy exercise it becomes difficult for oxygen to reach every muscle tissues or cells faster. Due to which our muscle cells produce lactic acid due to the deficiency of Oxygen that's why we get cramps.

After heavy exercise, instead of glucose ,Lactic acid gets accumulated in our muscles which causes cramps due to the lack of oxygen during aerobic respiration.we get relieved when it gets converted back to glucose .
