Why do you have to chew chapatti and other food to make them into small
pieces?

Chapati is a source just like bread which is eaten with a side dish like sugar, curry or jam. Our mouth has secretory glands which produce enzymes. When the food is mixed with saliva in the mouth during the process of chewing to make digestion simpler it tastes sweeter in the mouth
