Although annoying with all the phrases and idioms that don't make sense like "running nose" or "raining cats and dogs", English is the one language that unites us all.
It is the one reason we know what happens halfway around the world. The reason we know who Harry Potter or Ariana Grande are. Through the english cinema and music industry, the world has almost become smaller, with people reaching out more to each other.
It is because of english that we know of great authors and poets of Europe. It is also the reason why the rest of the world know of our great Indian poets and artists.
English is just as beautiful as Hindi, French, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam or German and even more.
