Blood is a part of the circulatory system and it is basically called as the fluid connective tissue. It is because of the presence of blood that all the required nutrients along with oxygen is carried to different parts of the body(each and every cell) because a cell needs energy for its metabolic activities. Also waste materials like the digestive wastes and carbon dioxide is also transported to the site of excretion and the site of exhalation respectively. On the whole blood is one of the major elements required by man to maintain life.
