Answer:

We need to wear seatbelts because if car stops suddenly due to an accident. The large force on the body of passengers produced by rapid decrease in momentum can throw the passenger forward violently causing serious injuries.

We need to wear a seatbelt for the following reasons:

  • seatbelts are the protective equipment to use while driving a vehicle.
  • wearing a seatbelt helps keep you safe and secure inside your vehicle during an accident.
  • during a crash, being completely ejected from a vehicle is almost always deadly.
  • If we don't wear our seat belts, we could be thrown into a rapidly opening frontal air bag. Such force could cause severe injury or even kill us.
  • during an accident, if we hit on the brakes suddenly or our vehicle is gets collided with another vehicle, inertia of motion is acting upon our body.
  • due to the inertia of motion acting upon our body, if  suddenly an external opposite force is acting upon us, our body may continue to move foreward and hit the steering wheel, or in worst case scenario, we may get completely ejected from the vehicle by hitting through the glass.
  • so in order to hold us tight and keep us in position in case of an accident, we must wear seatbelts.
