Anne started writing diary in utter loneliness. Anne wanted to keep a diary because she didn’t have a friend. She had so many ideas to share with someone. So she thought until she had a real friend, she would share her ideas with a diary.
Anne thought she could confide more in her diary than in people because she felt a diary has more patience than people. There were many people around her in her family and other friends and relatives, but she didn’t find any of them with whom she could confide her secrets and ideas. So, she thought of writing a diary.
