why do you think are the rocks harder inside than outside

I think that rocks are harder from inside than outside because if they were able to be squeezed then they must be softer from.

The outer covering gets weathered day by day and therefore becomes porous and weak. The ineer rock is well protected and therefore does not gets weathered and hence does not become weak.
