The energy can be released by two ways :-
● aerobic respiration:- In this type of respiration the glucose goes under glycolysis and breaks down into pyruvate.
This pyruvate is then converted or broken down into water , carbon-dioxide and 38 ATP molecules.
C6G12O6------>C3H4O3------->H2O +
CO2+38ATP
●Aaerobic respiration:- In this type of respiration the energy us released in the absence of oxygen.
it can be further divided into two types:-
◆ lactic fermentation:- in this type of anerobic respirstion the pyruvate releases lactic acid, CO2 and 2ATP molecules
C6H12O6------>C3H4O3-----> +C3H6O3+CO2+2ATP
◆ alchoholic fermentation:- in this type of anerobic respiration the pyruvate releases ethanol, CO2 and 2ATP molecules.
C6H12O6--->C3H403-->C2H60+CO2+2ATP
