-With sustainable programs, the society is able to protect the environment and this has the effect of increasing the amount of resource available for the communities.This is important as environment degradation is a major contributing factors to such problems as drought and food shortages.
-through sustainable development problems such health problems as a result of pollution can be minimized by strict regulations on how production can be kept on check to reduce pollution effects.
-The result, is improved living standards for both the present and future generations
