Why do you think I do gangetic plain has high density of population?

The Northern plains or the Gangetic plains have evolved due to deposition of alluvial soil from time to time. The river deposits a big amount of alluvial soil each year making this region great for agriculture. More ever men has always liked to settle by the side of river becz of following reasons :
1. Water is essential for growth of civilisation
2. Alluvial soil helps in agriculture
3. Water from river are a continuous source for irrigation.
4. River can take away harmful contaminated substances away from the city.

Gangetic Plains have soil which is very fertile. This is because of the way it evolved.
