  1) India is a tropical country so it has better or enormous possibilities of trapping solar energy.

2) In india there is an abundence of sunlight and is becoming popular in rural and uban areas  

3) Solar plants are rapidly being stablished in indian households to minimise the dependence on conventional sources like firewood and dung cakes which in turn contribute to environmental conservation and adequete supply of manure in agriculture.
