so the person who files the FIR should always keep a copy of the report because in case the original copy get tampered or mishandled there should be a backup to support you. Also , a copy of FIR enables the person who complained to know the details of FIR , if the content is as he/she told . FIR being an official document could be produced in court of law. Also, a FIR assures that the complaint is registered properly and its not just randoms talk without proof.

Answer:

How important it is to have a copy of the FIR report form the police station following the registration of a civil case or criminal case.

Explanation:

Having a copy of an FIR report is as important as registering the case. As per the section 154 of Criminal Penal Code (Cr. P. C.), FIRs are registered in the police station. FIR is the first data base in written manuscript following the criminal case or a civil case that reaches the police station.

It is mandatory for the person who writes the FIR to give a copy to the informant as per the Cr. P. C. section 154(2). At the same time, the person who is accused of a case can also get the copy of the FIR in demand with some legal payments applicable.

Copy of an FIR is like a backup and it is mandatory.
