We depend on forests for our survival, from the air we breathe to the wood we use. Besides providing habitats for animals and livelihoods for humans, forests also offer watershed protection, prevent soil erosion mitigate climatic change

forests are the lungs of the earth because the supply oxygen to the atmosphere .trees and forests protect the land from erosion. the protects homes , farms and coastlines from strong waves and winds.the make soil fertil, keep air ,streams and lagoons clean and clear. and provide habitats and food for animals.

hence I think it is important to conserve forests.
