Answer:
Kisa Gotami understood that death is common to all and she was been selfish in her grief. She understood this only second time because this time she has gain the knowledge that not a single house exists where their beloved family or friends haven't died.
Initially she rushed neighbourhood for cure of her dead son asking for help that they would have medicine to cure her child. But when she met buddha, he asked for a handful of mustard seeds from a house in which their beloved ones hadn't died and that is the only way her child could be saved, he do it purposely to make her realize that death is common to all.
When she went to all houses searching for that condition. There were not a single house exists where their beloved family or friends haven't died but they were ready to give mustard seeds. Now she has understood that fate of a person is to live n die. This is what buddha intended her to elaborate about death.
