Why do you think Mohammed bin tughlaq shifted his capital from delhi to devagiri renamed as daulatabad???? Was he familiar with rhe Deccan?? Could he have thought of a second capital????

Because his administrative measures created complications and was indirectly trapped. The shifting of people to Daultabad was resented. The raising of taxes and famine in ganga yamuna belt led to widespread rebellion.
He shifted to daultabad due to invasions and attacks on his own capital. His Kahmir campaign failed and Invading Transoxiana was called off too and disbanded his large army.
