In the book, Dahl describes Trunchbull as looking, "more like an eccentric and rather bloodthirsty follower of the stag-hounds than the headmistress of a nice school for children." The frumpy, red-faced principal makes quite the statement — from here severe bun to the shoulder pads of her hunter-green blazer.
