This question is taken from the chapter ‘A Tale Of Three Villages’
Natasha's three children died due to exposure to harmful nuclear dust particles emitted due to the explosion in Chernobyl nuclear reactor.
When the explosion took place, Natasha's children were playing outside their house and the atomic particles were spreading in the air. They did not pay attention on it.
A week later the child fell sick and they stopped eating etc. After almost two weeks, all three children died.
