Why do you think ordinary men and women did not generally keep recods of what they did

Oridinary men and women of the past didnot keep the records of what they did.This was due to a main reason of lack of education.They could not read and write properly. Thats why they didnkt keep a record of what they did.

The people who were learnt at that time and those who could read and write were not interested in writing the records of orinary poor men and women because they didnot consider it important.They only wrote about kings and wealthy people.

It is not because they are ordinary, it's as they don't believe in themselves to become someone other than ordinary. If they think big, they can be a better one than they are. They can be anything but average. They have a limited mindset. If they think big then they can achieve it too.
So, it's due to their thinking that they do not keep the records.
