Why do you think ordinary men and women did not genraly keep records what they did

Ordinary men and women do not keep a record of their activities because -   They do not consider their daily life events important.  Recording events takes a lot of time which may be used by them for earning or taking rest.  It involves extra expenses and do not give any productive returns. Ordinarily people do not like wasting money.
