OXYGEN

Aquatic animals like fishes, have gills for the diffusion of gases. The water enters through their mouths and quickly moves to the gills. In the gills,O_2gets mixed with blood. The blood then transports this oxygen to all the body cells for respiration.

Every living being need oxygen to breath. Just like human beings and animals need oxygen to breath, similarly aquatic animals need dissolved oxygen too.

Explanation:

If there would not be any dissolved oxygen, there would not be any aquatic plant or animal surviving. Dissolved oxygen is necessary for the survival of bacteria, fishes, invertebrates and many more organisms living in water as it helps on carrying life giving processes. It is also extremely important for the organic matter's decomposition.
