Why do you think plant cells need a cell wall and animal cells do not need any cell wall?

Plants are not motile and they stay fixed to one place. So to survive in extreme weathers they need cell wall. The cell wall protects them from frost, harsh environmental conditions, provide turbidity etc. On the other hand animals are motile and they can change their location to protect themselves from harsh weather. So they don't need cell wall

All cells have cell membranes, and the membranes are flexible. So animal cells can have various shapes, butplant cells only have the shapes of their cell walls. That's nice for plants, because it gives them the ability to grow up and out, where they can get lots of sunlight for making their food.
