Social Studies is thought to US so that we can know our past ,our present and our coming future..
it also tells us about the things happening around us and the things which is needed for us to know..
it tells us about the great personalities who sacrificed their lives for our country or for our future..
it tells us about social and economical conditions of each period.
it also tells us about the monuments ,paintings temples and much more..

So it is an important subject to study because it mostly tells us about our wealth, heritage, different time periods, different news ,different histories, about different states, about different countries it mostly tells us about whole world..

Social Studies is important for us because we can't know the past it mean like who started a particular war or who ended it and many more things about the past.
