That does not at all sound like Socrates. Things like the secret to success were not subject matters that he discussed. Additionally, he would have had a discussion with the young man, asking a series of questions in order to draw out the answer that the young man already knew. Physicality, followed by moral instruction, was not one of the methods Socrates employed.
