why do you think sunlight cannot reach the forest floor in the equatorial forest region

Bcz in those forest the whole area from where light could reach the ground is covered by tress Bcz as all the tress are mostly of same height

The trees of equatorial forests are very tall (35 m-40 m) and they have a very dense and thick canopy. The result is that the canopy blocks most of the sunlight falling on them depriving the plants under them of sunlight.
