Given : an object that is in stationary has no momentum

To Find : Justify

Solution:

Momentum  = mass * velocity

velocity = dx/dt

=> an object  is  stationary => dx/dt = 0    as there is no change in position

Hence velocity = 0

=> Momentum  = mass * 0

=> Momentum  =  0

Hence an object that is in stationary has no momentum
