Why do you think that different people should play different role in the criminal justice system? What would happen if this is not followed?

Because with only a person a case can't be solved. For example a police writes the statements and collect evidence.

but he can't do the job of all the 4 main players who are:

Public prosecutor fights for the state

Defence lawyer tries to prove the accused one that he/she is innocent.

Judge listens to defence lawyer and public prosecutor statements and decides what to do.

Police hears the witness and collects evidence.
