Yes, khliafat movement is a turning point of history because it is one incidentin both hindu's and muslim's come together to fight for one cause. Moreover this movement was started in the OTTOMAN empire which also laid a way for the Non-Cooperation movement. Gandiji made this movement a truly national movement by bringing muslims into cause.

The Khilafat Movement was a turning point because it it is the movement that was needed by the Muslims who are opposing the Britishers at that time and by the support of these Muslim the Gandhiji has organized an Islamic movement which is plays a major role as Mahatma Gandhi had supported these Muslims and both had made this movement as a national movement and give the important plays in the Indian national movement.
