why do you think the noble gases are placed in a separate group ?​

Noble gases like He, Ne, Kr, Xe and Rn are placed in a separate group because of the following reasons:

  • They are extremely unreactive.

  • They don't combine with any other element of the periodic table.

  • All the noble gas elements have zero valency and placed in zero group with similar chemical properties.
