Why do you think the noble gases are placed in a separate group?

In periodic table the elements are grouped in the order of their reactivity and other properties. Same is with noble gas because this is the group were the elements placed very rarely react with the other elements and form compounds. This is because the elements in this group are stable with 8 electrons in their outer shells which is different for helium woo has 2 electrons.
